Warren Hutchings, M.D. is a founding member of the IPA of Georgia and serves as its Medical Director for Middle Georgia.
Dr. Hutchings is a native of Macon, Georgia and a practicing family physician in his hometown. Dr. Hutchings entered Vanderbilt University to pursue a career in medicine. After completing his junior year, he entered a premed summer program at Howard University which strengthened his interest in medicine. He chose Morehouse School of Medicine due to its strong commitment to primary care. After graduation in 1990, he returned to Macon, Georgia to complete his residency in Family Medicine and has been in private practice since 1993.
In 1993, Dr. Hutchings reorganized the Macon Academy of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy and founded the Middle Georgia Medical Society. Under the leadership of Dr. Hutchings as its president from 1997-2000, the Middle Georgia Medical Society was voted National Medical Association Local Society of the Year, Small Chapter for 2000. Dr. Hutchings has served on the NMA Board of Trustees from 2002-2004 as NMA Region III Chair. He served as Convention Chair and Moderator for the NMA Region III Scientific Program at the Half Moon Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2004. Dr. Hutchings currently serves as CEO of the Middle Georgia Medical Society and as First Vice President of the Georgia State Medical Association. Dr. Hutchings will serve as GSMA President 2010-2012. Since 2004, he has served as Middle Georgia Medical Director and Management Committee member for IPA of Georgia.
The professional career of Dr. Hutchings began with him working with his twin brother and his oldest brother in a family medicine practice for 13 years in Macon, Georgia. He joined Mercer Health Systems in 2006 as a private practice physician and as Medical Director of the Student Health Center at Mercer University. Since 1993, Dr. Hutchings has been Board Certified in Family Medicine. He has received numerous awards which include, Distinguished Alumnus Award, Morehouse School of Medicine in 1999, NMA Region III Outstanding Service Award in 2005, Presidential Commendations from GSMA in 1996, 2001, and 2006, Outstanding Leadership Award from the Middle Georgia Medical Society in 1996 and 2000. He has performed research as an investigator for “The Asthma Control Test and Asthma Control in African-Americans in Rural, Urban, and Suburban Georgia” 2005-2006. He appeared numerous times on The Herbert Dennard Show discussing the MGMS Foundation’s Save Our Students project addressing the youth violence crisis in America.
Active in his community, Dr. Hutchings is a charter member of 100 Black Men of Macon-Middle Georgia. He is a member of Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church and works with the Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church’s Health Mission. Dr. Hutchings speaks to local high school and college students to nurture their interest in health careers. He is married to Tami Hutchings and they have twins of their own, Sydney and Weldon Hutchings. Dr. Hutchings enjoys exercise, music, travel, and encouraging young physicians to become more involved in organized medicine as he did before he became a practicing physician.

B. David Blake, M.D. is a founding member of the IPA of Georgia and serves as its Medical Director for North Atlanta.
Dr. Blake, a family practitioner, is a native of Bronx, New York. He received a B.S. in Zoology from Howard University, Washington, D.C, and M.D. degree from Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA, followed by an internship and residency with the Morehouse School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine at Southwest Hospital and Medical Center. He is currently the Medical Director for Family First Healthcare in Mableton, GA and maintains hospital affiliations with Legacy Medicine Center and Regency Hospital.
Board certified since 1997 and licensed with the state of Georgia since 1995, Dr. Blake has held offices in numerous regional and national organizations. He has written several publications and he is on the Speaker’s Bureau for Pfizer, Novartis, Astra Zeneca. Dr. Blake is active in the community, participating in multiple health fairs yearly. Dr. Blake is a ringside Physician with the Georgia State Boxing Commission and USA Boxing.
